Problem
Calls to the published number outside business hours — or while the whole team was at an event — went to voicemail. Interested callers rarely leave messages; those leads simply evaporated.
What we built
A bilingual voice agent on the company line. It answers on the first ring, discloses recording, detects the caller's language, and qualifies with one question per turn: need, timing, budget, authority. Calls end as scored leads in the sales system, not voicemails. Hot leads fire an instant alert to the founder's phone; good fits get moved toward a meeting; anyone who asks for a person gets transferred to one.
What changed
The commercial line answers around the clock — nights, weekends, and the days the whole team is at an event. Leads are captured in the moment with their qualification attached, so the team returns hot calls instead of listening to voicemail — and a good-fit caller can be on the calendar before a human ever picked up the phone.

Client Zero: it answers our own inbound line.

What the system does

  • Answers the company line 24/7 in English and Spanish, detected from the caller's first words — and follows if they switch mid-call
  • Discloses recording in the first breath, in both languages; if the caller objects, she transfers to a human immediately
  • Qualifies with one question per turn — need, timing, budget band, authority, headcount — each asked exactly once
  • Routes the caller into the right line of business, with disambiguation rules in both languages
  • Never quotes prices, never promises dates, never closes — and never guesses: unknown beats invented
  • Every call ends as a scored lead — fit and intent computed automatically, weights tunable without redeploying
  • Hot leads fire an instant alert to the founder's phone with caller, company, need and scores
  • Anyone who asks for a person gets a warm, announced transfer — also on frustration or anything legal or money-related
  • Repeat callers recognized by phone number, so an existing lead is updated, never duplicated
  • Every call is captured — wrong numbers, robocalls and spam included — with transcript and recording attached
  • Asked whether she's an AI, she says yes plainly and offers a human
  • Leads land in the same pipeline as every other channel, follow-up included

By the numbers

  • Answers on the first ring, around the clock
  • Lead score: 55% intent + 45% fit — hot at 70 and up
  • Five qualification dimensions, four business verticals
  • Calls capped at 10 minutes
